Helping to make dreams a reality
The Wirral 11+ is now based on the Durham CEM test. This will look to test students on Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning and Mathematics. There will be two tests completed in one day to determine selection for the schools of Wirral Grammar, West Kirby Gramma and Calday Grammar.
The examinations take place in the second week back of Year 6 and used for selection at the grammar schools on Wirral (West Kirby/Calday/Wirral Grammar)
Our tutoring is provided in once a week, hourly sessions. We keep our group sizes small so that each child receives plenty of individual attention but also the chance to compare their performance and progress to their peers. We offer separate courses for Year 4 and for Year 5.
During this time your son/daughter will take part in a range of engaging learning activities designed specifically to build confidence in the literacy numeracy and technique questions of the 11+.
As part of the tutoring we provide all the necessary homeworks and materials required for your child to make rapid and sustained progress. Our experiences teachers will regularly assess students to determine strengths and areas for development.
We believe that we offer the strongest 11+ tutoring provision on the Wirral for several reasons:-
All lessons are provided by current and highly qualified teachers.
Our lessons are structured so as to be engaging and positive learning experiences. We look to build confidence and self-belief with our students looking forward to each lesson. The comment of 'was that an hour already' is often from our students.
We are confident that we give tremendous motivation to students. We receive regular feedback from parents telling us that their child's attitude in school has improved considerably or that their child has started to show a huge interest in learning since starting at Every Lesson Counts.
It is often difficult to explain the true level of engagement that Every Lesson Counts lessons create and for that reason we offer a free first lesson.
Parents are welcome to stay during tutoring as we have a dedicated parent zone complete with tea/coffee/comfy chairs and plenty of peace.
